Root and the P2P (Peer to Peer) Study

August 1, 2023

The Root Center is collaborating with Dr. Kristyn Zajac, from UConn Health on the Peer to Peer (P2P) study. This study focuses on whether adding a peer recovery coaching program will improve Opioid Use Disorder treatments for young adults, ages 18 to 25.

This study includes having P2P added to standard outpatient services for an eligible patient.

The goal will be to have the patient meet with recovery coaches for four weekly sessions over the span of two months. The study will then look to investigate what factors drive young patients to drop out of their outpatient services.
