Margaux (Farrell) Hyde
CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Margaux (Farrell) Hyde is the Chief Communications Officer at Root Center, where she leads the organization’s marketing, public and media relations, social media, events, and community engagement efforts. She joined Root Center in 2021 as Marketing Director, a role she held through March 2024, when she was promoted to Chief of Staff. In June 2026, she transitioned into her current role as Chief Communications Officer.
Before joining Root Center, Margaux worked as a television journalist and morning news anchor at FOX61, the local Fox affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut. Drawing on her background in journalism and storytelling, she has helped strengthen Root Center’s communications and media strategy across platforms, with a particular focus on sharing the experiences and stories of the patients and communities the organization serves. She has also led the production Root Center’s patient testimonial videos, creating opportunities for patients to share their experiences and put a human face to the organization’s mission.
Margaux earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University, where she was a Division I swimmer and a multiple-time All-American. She went on to earn a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California following her experience competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games, where she represented France and earned a bronze medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay.
A dual citizen of France and the United States, Margaux represented France internationally in swimming, competing at the Olympic Games, European Championships, and World University Games from 2010 to 2012.
