Root Center staff volunteered at the 2020 Holiday Toy Drive-Thru this weekend and the event was a huge success! Root staff handed out toys to Hartford residents in need; thank you to the Urban League and our other community partners for making this amazing event possible! And a big thank you to our amazing Root Center staff who volunteered their time and talent this past weekend to help those in need: Amy Di Mauro, Vice President of Operations, Emilie Held, Middletown Clinical Supervisor, Myrnel Gegu, Manchester Clinical Supervisor, Demetrius Ruscito, Counselor at Root Center in Hartford!

Kristyn Zajac and Liz Narwold, medical researchers with University of Connecticut, talk about a recent study with Root Center Patients. The study looked at what metrics patients used to define their own success in their recovery, and how researchers can reflect on the data to inform future studies regarding patients in recovery.

Most recently, staff came together for our annual holiday party, a tradition we look forward to as an opportunity to come together and celebrate the hard work we've put forth over the past year. We also donated our oldest clinic to the city of Hartford, hosted a Community Forum, were featured on NBC CT, celebrated one year of being open in New Haven County, and much more!
