We are excited to announce our newest campaign to highlight our rebranding on social media! We chose the hashtag: #RootReason to share and highlight what our team does best, and why we do it! We will be coming to your clinic with some fun photo opportunities to share some of the important day to day reasons we all choose behavioral health and substance use. #RootReason will be launched this month to coincide with International Overdose Awareness day which the agency will observe on 8/28/2019. What better way to share your story with the world? Why do you do the work that you do? We want your #RootReason!

Kristyn Zajac and Liz Narwold, medical researchers with University of Connecticut, talk about a recent study with Root Center Patients. The study looked at what metrics patients used to define their own success in their recovery, and how researchers can reflect on the data to inform future studies regarding patients in recovery.
Welcome 2026! Root Center has had a lot unfold since our last newsletter. Most recently, staff came together for our annual holiday party, a tradition we look forward to as an opportunity to come together and celebrate the hard work we've put forth over the past year. We also donated our oldest clinic to the city of Hartford, hosted a Community Forum, were featured on NBC CT, celebrated one year of being open in New Haven County, and much more!
